Line of Business (LOB), Licensing & Gateway Usage

1. Line of Business (LOB)

Trippi is an Online Transport Aggregator Marketplace & Travel Technology Platform. Our Line of Business (LOB) provides digital charter vehicle reservations—including private buses, tempo travellers, luxury coaches, and commercial passenger vans—by connecting travel customers directly with independent licensed fleet operators across India.

2. Purpose & Necessity of Payment Gateway

Our payment gateway (PayU) is required for two essential digital transaction flows:

Customer Advance Security Deposits: Passengers pay a partial advance deposit via PayU to reserve charter vehicles for specific travel dates. These funds are held securely in platform escrow and released to the operator upon successful trip completion verified via a 6-digit Trip Start OTP.
Operator Software Subscriptions: Independent transport operators pay recurring monthly/yearly subscription plan fees to maintain their digital dashboard access, vehicle listing software, and lead management tools.

3. Charter Owner Licensing & Tie-Up Agreement

Trippi does not own or operate physical vehicles directly. We partner with third-party charter vehicle owners under legally binding digital Vendor / Operator Tie-Up Agreements. Prior to listing any vehicle on our platform, all operators must submit proof of valid commercial permits:

AITP & State Permits: Operators must hold valid All India Tourist Permits (AITP) or state contract carriage permits issued by the Regional Transport Authority (RTA).

Commercial Insurance: All vehicles must hold active commercial motor insurance policies covering passengers and third-party liabilities.

Mandatory Document Audits: Admin verification of Registration Certificates (RC), fitness certificates, and driver commercial licenses is strictly enforced before an operator can go online.

Platform Escrow Protection: Customer advance payments are safely held until pickup verification via 6-digit Trip Start OTP.
